Good Saturday morning to all,
First and foremost, thank you all for loving our family here in Cusco so well. We are honored to be serving our Savior in South America. Secondly, please join us in praying for the following:
- The Wilson Family: Nathan, Audrey, Jacob, Joshua, Peter, Lydia, and John have returned to the USA (landed in GA Thursday) after serving more than 8 years overseas. Their family is already missed and their impact for Jesus will remain in Cusco for eternity. Join us in praying for their transition back to the USA. It was not until we arrived here in Peru that I truly understood the impact of transitions. Love, hurts, doubts, loss, and confusion are only a tiny dose of the total emotions that this family (and all missionaries) will feel. May they know they are loved here as well as there.
- For the people of Cusco: May they know the true meaning of Christmas. Pray with us that they do not celebrate the commercialism of Christmas, but the Christ of CHRISTmas. May they come to know and worship the 1 TRUE KING.
- For our team here in Cusco: With the departure of the Wilsons, there are some voids that only our faith in Jesus can fill. Friendships. Partnerships. LOVE. Camaraderie. Pray that we all LOVE each other well. The type of love that only brothers and sisters in Christ can understand.
- For our family: Through our tears we said see you later (Goodbyes are permanent) to the Wilsons. Transition, for my lack of a better word, sucks. This family embraced us from the moment our feet hit the ground in Peru. We have shared life together for 2 plus years. Birthdays, anniversaries, successes, and failures. We have discipled together, taught together, worshiped together, and worked side by side. Our children have spent countless hours together in growing friendships (friendships we hope last forever). Pray for us to move forward, to heal, to embrace the Wilsons from afar. Pray that we stay connected and love well from Cusco.
Again, thank you for loving us well. We also want to say thank you to those previous members of this unbelievably dedicated team who laid the foundation for the work we are doing in the Casa Josefina, Iglesia La Fuente de Gracia, La Fuente Centro de Salud Integral, and our University Student ministry. Thank you Mark and Rachel Daniel. Thank you David and Brooke Daniel. Thank you Ike and Joanne Holton. Thank you Nathan and Audrey Wilson. Thank you Heather Pendelton. Thank you Sam Ivey. Thank you Gerred Bell. Thank you Diana Castillo.
Merry Christmas and let us PRAY together,
The DuBoses in Peru
