Good day to all of our friends, supporters, prayer partners, and family,

It seems somewhat surreal that we have been in Peru for 2 years.  October 27th marked our 2 year Anniversary. Time truly flies by and with the passing of Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner.  WOW!

October was packed with discipleship opportunities, working in the clinic, Casa Josefina, serving at the church, student ministry, and some much needed rest with MTW’s Latin-American Retreat in Mexico. Please enjoy the following family and ministry updates:

Cindy: Cindy continues working at the Casa Josefina orphanage 2 or 3 days a week.  Also, she is in a teaching rotation at our church, La Fuente de Gracia, with the children.  She had been engaged in a Bible study with a university student that has come to a halt due to a very complex schedule for the student.  Pray that they will be able to continue this study later on. Also, prayers that the children Cindy teaches are impacted by the Gospel and influence their friends and family for the Kingdom.

Josh:  I am still working in La Fuente 4 days a week and continue to head up the Intern program.  Currently the 2 dental interns (Camila and Shiomara) are progressing well in their clinical growth.  Neither has openly expressed a desire to study the Bible or to be discipled.  I was able to teach at a non-profit hospital (Diospy) in a city named Curahuasi.  Those of you who know me, know I have a passion for CEREC CAD/CAM.  I was able to teach 2 German, 2 Peruvian, and 1 USA dentist as well as their technicians and dental assistants this wonderful technology.  I am now helping with the financial aspect of the clinic La Fuente.  I am learning all aspects in preparation of the departure of Nathan Wilson and his family.  Prayers that I continue to learn this well.

Emma:  Emma continues to play piano and has learned some Bass guitar at her school.  She played in GAL’s anniversary concert and rocked it out.  Emma enjoyed the time at the beach and was able to reunite with some friends who are currently in the USA.  It was a sweet time divided among worship, pools, and the beach.

Bowden:  Bowden is rocking out the drums and has been preparing well for their next concert.  He too was able to reunite with some friends in Mexico who are currently in the USA.  He was invited to a Halloween/birthday party which he thoroughly enjoyed.

Blakely: Blakely continues her pursuit of ballet 3 days a week.  They are preparing for their ballet recital in December.  Blakely loved her time in the pool and the ocean as well as reuniting with her best friend in Mexico.  It was super a sweet time as she has missed her friend dearly while they are in the USA.

University Student Ministry: We continue to meet every Saturday night.  We have seen our numbers dwindle a bit.  However, we are encouraged by those who come and have a desire to learn.  We have continued a Wednesday night study of 1 John with rotating teachers.  It is such an encouragement that theses students are committed to learning more about Jesus.

Casa Josefina:  The house currently has 14 children and there are hopes that many will be adopted soon.  The house has seen an increase in volunteerism that should be consistent for the next 3 or 4 months.

La Clinica La Fuente:  La Fuente continues treating and discilping patients.  The refractory laser has been installed and the first procedures are being scheduled.  Most of our departments are in or near the black for the year financially.  We have seen an increase in reduced treatment fees or free treatment.  This is one of our largest goals at the clinic.  We desire to provide first rate care at a fair rate that can then allow us to reduce fees or give treatment away to patients in need.  Please pray for doctors Christian Becker and Nathan Henson as they begin using the Laser.  Our desire is to provide a service unavailable in Cusco with a Zeiss Laser that is only available in Peru at our clinic.

Iglesia Fuente de Gracia:  We have had rotating preachers week to week and this has been very successful.  The church numbers remain steady and the children’s ministry continually grows.  Please pray for the church to honor and glorify Jesus.

As we approach the last 2 months of this year please consider our family and God’s mission here in Cusco with your year-end giving.  Perhaps God has been pressing on your heart to either begin giving or increase your monthly giving. Matthew 6:19-21 tells us “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.  For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”   You can give or set up monthly giving through the following link:https://www.campusoutreach.org/donate/Josh-Dubose/

If you have not, follow us on Facebook at “Facebook at DuBoses in Peru”.  If you would like to receive our monthly emails (I leave off some sensitive content), let me know via email (josh.dubose@campusoutreach.org) or FB Messenger.

Thank you for loving us well,

Josh and Cindy DuBose
